The 1st International Conference of the IAVCEI Commission on Volcanic & Igneous Plumbing Systems (VIPS) is being hosted by the MAGMA lab at the University of Liverpool, from 18th-20th June 2024.
The conference will be held at The Spine Building, 2 Paddington Village, Liverpool, UK (L7 3FA). A full University of Liverpool campus map PDF is located here.
The schedule for the conference is to be confirmed. Workshops will be held on the 18th of June, with the poster and oral presentations occurring on the 19th and 20th of June.
Traveling and Parking
The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon Airport (8 miles away), which has a direct bus into the city centre. Liverpool Lime Street is the main train station, which is located a 19-minute walk away from the conference venue. By car, Liverpool is well-connected to multiple motorways (M6, M57, M62 and M58).
Parking within the Liverpool City Centre is expensive although there are lots of options. We would recommend delegates use public transportation networks to travel to Liverpool. The closet public parking is the Paddington Village Multi-Storey (L7 3FA) which costs £12 per day.
